REDFUE president wraps up AECOC 2023 academic awards ceremony

The AECOC 2023 Academic Awards have closed their eleventh edition with a total of 171 applications, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree final projects. The works were presented in the 4 competition categories: Marketing and Commercialisation, Supply Chain, Applied Technology and PepsiCo Sustainability, and are awarded with a 1st prize of 4,000 euros (3,000 euros for the author and 1,000 euros for the tutor), and a second prize of 1,000 euros for the author.

The first prizes this year went to students from the University of Burgos, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the University of Valladolid.

In his remarks, Fernando Martínez spoke about the collaboration between universities and companies as a fundamental pillar to boost innovation, technological development and the preparation of a highly qualified workforce. He emphasised that we are living in a moment in which we must call for action so that educational institutions and companies actively explore these opportunities, overcoming challenges through dialogue and cooperation, to build a brighter and more sustainable future for Spain.

The jury for the 11th AECOC Academic Awards is composed of the President of AECOC, Javier Campo; the Director General of AECOC, José Mª Bonmatí; the Deputy Vice-President of CRUE, Juan Juliá; the President of REDFUE, Fernando Martínez; the Secretary General of Universities, José Manuel Pingarrón; the Director of Studies and Knowledge Management at Cotec for Innovation, Adelaida Sacristán; and the Director of Education and Training at CEOE, Juan Carlos Tejeda.
